Jewel is a real beauty and a treasure chest of genetics.  She is the result of Sapphire (a Molly daughter) deciding that she didn't like the buck I had paired her up with and so getting bred to the clean up buck who happened to be her half brother (a Molly son).  So...  Jewel is a double Molly kid.  Since I LOVE Molly, her udder and her milk production, I am very happy with this breeding.  It turned out to be all I hoped when I found that Freddy would be the sire of Sapphire's kids.  I am really looking forward to seeing how Jewel freshens.  Sadly, we lost Jewel as a yearling when she got into some moldy sunflower seeds...  She is sadly missed!
