Summer 2023
V-show photos the past few years haven't been ideal, but better than nothing! In spite of this year having goats clipped to a fence for photos instead of being set up properly, I am pretty happy with some of our placings against the very stiff competition! The classes are growing like crazy and I'm so thrilled to see the incredible improvements in the quality of the MiniNubians out there.
Most exciting placings were for Blizzard as she took 1st, best udder in her class and Reserve CHAMPION and BEST UDDER OF BREED in ring two. She was 5th place in the other ring. There were 18 does in her class.
Jr doe entry was Sylvie who took 6th in both rings (10 in her class)
Dry yearlings we had two entries in a HUGE class of 39: Star took 11th and 19th. Mississippi took 6th and 32nd (crazy!)
Our Jr. buck entry, Showman, took 1st and 8th of 10.
Yearling buck, Flame, took 6th & 13th in a huge class of 24 (his full brother was 4th and 6th)
2yr old milkers (class of 25) - Manna 5th and 8th
3yr old milkers (class of 18) Blizzard 1st (going on to Rsch and BUB) and 5th. Penny 10th and 12th
4yr old milkers (class of 11) Angel 1st place and best udder in both rings. Jane was 2nd and 3rd in her respective rings.
Summer 2021
Only entered two does and they were not set up at all, but did well considering!
Penny: 2nd & 5th place dry yearling (class of 23)
Cami: 2nd and 5th place aged doe (class of 10)

Summer 2017 - Our goats did very well this year! Goldstone took everything being 1st in his class of aged bucks, then GRAND CHAMPION in both rings AND BEST BUCK IN SHOW in BOTH rings! Cali did amazing in the udder department with 1st in her class in both rings, then BEST UDDER OF BREED in both rings and BEST UDDER IN SHOW in both rings!!! Go Cali! Cami was BEST Sr. DOE IN SHOW & GCH in Ring 2 with Bliss being RsCH, and Shadow was RsCH in the other ring. Blossom was RsCH Jr. doe in one ring as well.
Summer 2016 - Candy took Jr. GCH and Best Jr. Doe in Show in ring two and Thunder took GCH Jr. buck in Ring 1! The others didn't do too bad either...
Summer 2015 - Hope took Grand Champion and Lady took Best Udder of Breed in ring 2! Shadow took Jr RsCH in that ring as well. Green Gables Freedom's Winchester (owned by Sarah Drga) took GCH Sr. Buck in ring 1. The RsCH in ring one is a GG grandson with both parents being GG goats.
Green Gables goats took a total of 10 first place wins, 12 second place, 6 3rd place, 4 4th place, 3 6th place, 2 7th, 2 8th, and one each of 11th, 12th and 13th. Thank you to all the owners of Green Gables goats who entered the show!
Summer 2014 - We only entered 3 goats to the MDGA Summer v-show, but did shockingly well! Moonbeam finished his virtual championship by taking GCh in both rings. He deserves it! The other two entries did extremely well also with both jr animals taking GCH in one ring. Ashley took GCH Jr doe and Comet (a Moonbeam son) took GCH Jr. Buck! The Reserve to Moonbeam in Ring 2 was a buck out of a Green Gables doe and a Green Gables buck. The Reserve Sr. Doe in Ring 1 is a Green Gables granddaughter.
Fall 2013 - We did quite well in the Fall V-show despite not clipping anyone. Beloved Freedom finished his championship and Beauty earned her dry leg. Several of our 'grandkids' did quite well in the show with Buckhorn Run Dapper Dan taking GCH MiniNubian buck in one ring. Dapper Dan is out of Green Gables B Serenade and Green Gables Sampson. Congrats to Barb Knapp for owning and breeding such a nice boy. You can take a look at the show here to see more Green Gables placings and the judges reasons behind the placings.
July 2013 - We didn't enter as many as usual this year, but we still did well. They all placed near the top of their classes at least and we took several RsCH as well as Jr. GCH and BEST JUNIOR DOE IN SHOW. Here is a breakdown of how our entries did:

And then, Freedom went on to earn GRAND CHAMPION BUCK in one ring and RESERVE CHAMPION in the 2nd! Not bad for unclipped with no help for photos!
July 2012 - Our goats did well in the Summer V-Show again. Adelita took GCH in one ring and RsCH in the other. Trillium earned a GCH leg. Luna took RsCH - not bad for a first freshening yearling! Below are our goats that earned a GCH leg in this show:
November 2011 - The Fall V-Show went off well. Most of our goats were not at their best and I didn't have help for getting pictures, but even so we ended up with Ivory taking Reserve in both rings and Freedom taking Reserve in one ring. Freddy had his pictures taken a bit earlier in the year and he took GCH finishing his championship.

The bucks also did well with Freddy earning his 2nd V-CH leg by taking GCH in ring 2. He went on to take BEST BUCK in SHOW in that ring. In ring 2, Freddy was RsCH. Complete V-show results with reasons for placings can be seen here.
