Penny is polled, moonspotted, has gorgeous breed character, lovely conformation and a sweet personality. Penny has a very nice udder. Great teat size, super snug attachments and good production. Her lateral attachments are stellar and her foreudder is lovely. Conformation wise, she has a beautiful front end with a nice brisket, correctly placed forelegs, tight shoulders and a long, lean neck. Her topline is a tiny big weak over the chine like her dam, but she has a lovely wide, level and flat rump. She has great body capacity and strong feet and legs. We have retained her 2023 kid, Green Gables Amazing Silver Dollar (Sylvie) for our herd. Penny's story: This is a breeding that I have been wanting to do for YEARS. Spice almost always improves medial on his daughters and gives lovely toplines, breed character and conformation along with a good size. Combined with Candy's heavy milk lines and lovely conformation, I knew this would be a good cross. However, several years of attempts failed - in 2018 Spice was feeling his age and didn't breed most of his does, so I bred Candy to a different buck and then she escaped from him in 2019 and got in with ALL the bucks. I was frustrated, but hoped that she'd have at least one kid that was sired by Spice and hoped it would be a doe (and would be thrilled if she was polled). Well, Candy had QUADS from that breeding! I anxiously awaited the results of the DNA test... And, my favorite doeling from the kidding was sired by SPICE! In case you were wondering, 2 of the other kids born with Penny were sired by Thunder (one buck and one doe) and the other buckling was also by Spice. Penny's 2nd freshening udder

Pictures of Penny:
This first picture shows how she got her name... She had such bug eyes when she was born! But she grew into them.
