Cloudy Pillar is out of one of our smallest does who has a beautiful udder with snug attachements and a lot of milk. She keeps up with the taller girls in production and has very heavy butterfat and even made the MDGA top 10 list for butterfat (#4 for total butterfat and #6 for BF%). One of her daughters, Green Gables RB Darling Damselfly, was on the top 10 (#4) for butterfat % also. Cloudy's Pillar's sire's full sister was also top 10 for butterfat %!!!

Cloudy Pillar has phenomenal udders behind him with boatloads of milk and high butterfat. He has nice breed character, a long, wide body with great depth for his age. A nice front end with legs placed correctly beneath his withers and a nice brisket. His dam is one of our shortest does and has a beautiful udder with a lot of milk, especially for her short size (8.2# on the first milk test of 2021). Her biggest fault is that her teats are on the short side for how much milk she gives. I think that will be improved with the breeding to Moses. In fact, her son that was sired by Moses' sire (Thunder) has been improving teats in the herd he is at work in.
Moses also brings a boatload of milk to this pairing with top ten animals in his pedigree. His full sister (Taffy) easily earned her star as an ff last year and even made the top ten list for BF % as a first freshener! I am excied to use this boy on a few select does before he goes to his new home this fall.
